Let's begin with this important distinction – at Jerome Village, we are not creating a new community. Rather, we are building on the legacy of a community with existing and permanent roots. The idea behind Jerome Village is to evolve what is already in place. Beautiful land. Environmental awareness. A sense of family.
Guided by the principles of Smart Growth, a team of visionaries, entrepreneurs, builders, and developers came together to plan the future of Jerome Village. They aspired to create a place that is economically viable and sustainable, environmentally sensitive, and offers an improved quality of life.
The canvas for all of this is a stretch of land that has been farmed by local families for generations. Jerome Village's creators conceived an idea for a new community that would naturally emerge from the deep agricultural roots firmly entrenched here.
Jerome Village will be accessible and modern, while remaining rural and naturally beautiful. It will be a village that offers all of the things today's families want and need in a way that maintains a feeling of community and a respect for the land.
We can see Jerome Village now and into the future. And we’d like nothing more than to share that vision with you.
As a clearly-defined, well-rounded community, Jerome Village will include the perfect blend of residential, commercial, retail, and recreational spaces, all anchored by a vibrant town center. The town center will be a natural gathering place for residents, and will be within walking distance from many of the homes.
This will be a traditional and inclusive community, with distinctive and diverse housing, two elementary schools and a middle school, a community center for hosting town meetings, a collection of local shops, amphitheatre, swimming pool, and a retirement village (all within walking distance of each other).
As Jerome Village takes shape over the next 10 to 15 years, it will address a growing need for a new standard of development. One which will bring the principles of Smart Growth to the Columbus area and to set the tone for the 5,000-acre quadrant that surrounds the new development.
Jerome Village will not be another case of sprawl, but instead a thoughtfully planned community where families with different budgets and lifestyles will find homes, work at local businesses, shop at neighborhood stores, and gather at the community parks and pool.
Together, they will be the fabric for a holistic neighborhood that is built on lasting values, and built to last.
