Dublin Tree Lighting
Time: 5:00 pm Location: Coffman Park
The City of Dublin will mark the official start of the 2019 holiday season by hosting its annual Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 5, 2019. The free event will be held at Coffman Park, 5200 Emerald Parkway.
Residents will enjoy seasonal activities and entertainment including writing letters to Santa and ornament making, roaming holiday stilt walkers, ice sculpting, and character appearances. In addition, don’t miss Santa’s reindeer at the Reindeer Rest Stop at the Coffman Barn or a visit from Santa as he arrives on a horse-drawn sleigh with Mrs. Claus to light the tree at 6:40 p.m. Santa may be on-hand for pictures after the main event.
New this year is a trackless train running in the City Hall parking lot sponsored by Hilliard Lawn and Garden.
The Dublin Historical Society will showcase a “Victorian Christmas” in the Fletcher Coffman House and Homestead. The barn will be open with a decorated sleigh offering the perfect photo opportunity.
The Washington Township Fire Department will be on-site at City Hall taking donations of new or unused toys benefitting Toys for Tots.
Holiday refreshments will be available for purchase, including hot chocolate and other food items from Chick-Fil-A and Mauger’s Donuts.
Event Parking is located at Coffman Park and at the Dublin Community Recreation Center. For more information on the Tree Lighting Ceremony, please call 614.410.4545.
