Welcome to our state-of-the-art Design Studio! We opened our new Design Studio doors to clients in July of 2020, and visitors are already loving our new space.

When we designed this studio, we thought of the client’s experience throughout the whole process.

Our goal was to display as many of the products as we could. Some even come in a life size setting, so your imagination doesn’t have to do all of the work.

Your design appointment is a very important moment in building your home, and we wanted it to feel organized, helpful, and inspirational. Building a house is exciting—you get to create a home personalized to you and your family!

Picture yourself coordinating your kitchen cabinet colors and your countertops that you will use in your weekly meal prep. Find the perfect flooring to grace each and every step you take throughout your home.

Creating all of those finishing touches will really make the house feel like home to you: this is where all of those visions of your dream home come to life.

As you step through the glass doors of this brand new home design space, you are greeted by a tremendous amount of natural light and two full-size kitchen vignettes. These two stunning vignettes display different but equally modern styles.

First, the cool and rustic kitchen shows how you can mix cabinet colors to achieve the perfect blend. Then, the bright and luxurious kitchen displays how you can dress up white cabinets with a quartz waterfall and bold hardware.

As you continue, the bathroom vignettes display the many options offered in your home. Touch and feel the differences in countertops, tiles, faucets, and cabinets to assist in your decisions for your dream home.

We even thought to design the space with floor-to-ceiling windows bring natural light in for a realistic look at options.

As you explore, every nook and cranny are filled with samples of new home design trends that can be added to your home.

See the motion in a tile, the rich tones in the flooring, the attention-grabbing hardware, and the different textures of the countertops with our state-of-the-art wall washing lights that display light just as it would be in your own home.

Your journey through the M/I Homes design center is guided by an expert Design Studio consultant like myself who is there to help bring your vision to life.

Our vignettes are full-size replicas of essential parts of a home so that our homebuyers can see and touch how a countertop, cabinet, tile, or hardware would feel in their home and everyday life.

See how different textures and designs flow together. Feel the size of the space with the different colors and lighting. Envision what your daily life will be like in the spaces that your home will feature.

These vignettes are expertly designed to display the most current new home kitchen and bathroom designs.

We have numerous dedicated selection areas with all of the samples we offer. We have samples in all shapes in sizes so that you can pull out and see how they work with your interior design.

Bring your vision to life by compiling all of the samples together to create a complete picture.

Analyze the little details in the different countertops. Explore the options in the different styles of cabinets. Feel the different textures in the hardware. Touch the flooring that will soon go beneath your feet.

We fill our new home design center with samples that will make your home provide the feelings of comfort and luxury that you deserve!

Here are my absolute favorite parts of this carefully designed space:
1. The vignettes display numerous combinations and provide inspiration for your own home.
2. The layout and openness of the whole space provide optimal use of your time. For example, when you are standing at the cabinet options, you can turn around and see the tile backsplash and countertops to help envision how they will all flow together.
3. Any selection you see in the studio you can choose to have in your home.

My best tips for clients are to come prepared, discover what your design style is, and bring your list of colors or materials you’re dreaming up for your home.

If you come with some ideas, they can help define your style. Knowing what you want goes a long what with making the decision process easier.
