Community Survey Now Open!
This is a unique moment for our schools. Our school district is a high quality district, but we can leverage many opportunities for our future. This process, which hasn’t been done in decades, will help shape a unified vision, elevating our district to even greater heights. This is your chance to join the conversation.

Please fill out the Community Survey before the end of September. Here is the link: www.planning-next.com/dublin-city-schools-community/

School IDs, Pictures and Retakes
School IDs: Students received their IDs in HR this week. Please let us know if you have any quesitons.

SCHOOL PICTURES: Pictures were delivered to Jerome late this week and will distributed to students next week. If you missed picture day or would like to retake, please see the information below. [PLEASE NOTE: Students in grades 9-11 must have their school picture taken on this date if they want to be included in the 2022-23 Yearbook. Seniors will have separate pictures for the yearbook taken in the coming weeks.]

PICTURE RETAKES:
Thursday, October 6th at 10:30am in the CPA Landing Area.
All students that were absent on the first day’s photography event as well as anyone requesting a retake picture.
If students would like a retake of their original day picture, they can bring back that original package, give it to the photographer and we will take another picture and order the same package for them using that new image.

Attendance Reminders
Helpful attendance reminders:
If your student will be absent from school the best way to communicate with the attendance office is via email [email protected]

Calls placed to the attendance line are not excused absences. Students must bring written documentation of the absence from the parent on the day of his/her return.

If your family is planning on going on an extended trip, please reach out at least 3-5 days prior to the trip so that we may assist you.

Per House Bill 410, failure to supply written documentation of the absence will result in an unexcused absence and the student may be considered truant. Additionally, once a student accumulates 38 hours in one month or 65 hours in a school year, only a doctor’s note will be accepted as written documentation of an excused absence.

Please understand, if you call the school to report your students’ absence, per district policy in accordance with HB 66, you will receive a call from the automated system.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Colleen Bender, Attendance Counselor:
[email protected]

Dublin Jerome Drama Club Presents…

One Stoplight Town is a story about people from a town so small that you might drive through without taking a second look. But if you stopped for just a moment, you might see a young boy and girl fall in love, a cantankerous grocery store owner coping with change, a son returning home while a daughter thinks about leaving, a beauty queen and a drum major striking up a friendship, and a handyman taking it all in while he fixes what is broken.

These stories and more are filled with fun characters, lots of humor, plenty of heart and the theme that change comes for us all, whether we are ready or not.

Congrats to Hosun Kim!
Three Dublin Students students, Bodhi Bouttomy (Coffman), Esha Kanakia (Scioto), and Hosun Kim (Jerome) had the opportunity to participate in a paid tech internship at OSA Technology Partners this past Summer. In addition to gaining valuable experience and certifications, these students had the opportunity to design the logo/sticker for the upcoming Ohio Tech Day. This logo will be seen throughout Ohio as schools ramp up to take part in the 2nd Annual Ohio Tech Day.

Yearbooks are In!
Yearbooks have been delivered and we have begun distributed. If students have yet to receive a yearbook, they will do so in homeroom next week.
As a reminder the Yearbook is student generated each year. We make every attempt to ensure it is as accurate as possible however, mistakes are made. Please understand that it is not done with intent and we do our best to correct and address each concern. We appreciate your help and support for our students and programs.

Educational Travel Experience to Thailand!
Your student is invited to join us on an upcoming educational travel experience to Thailand in Summer 2023! You can find all the details of the trip here!
